Piper's Play Date

They say that twins, even separated at birth, often lead very similar lives. We were amused Tuesday evening when Piper's littermate Jackson (on the left in this picture) was brought over for their first meeting since they left the breeder's home. They were both sporting green collars with identical blue bone-shaped tags. They waived the niceties of introductions, and got right down to chasing, biting, growling, rolling on each other and chasing again.

We found out that, like Piper, Jackson enjoys biting pant legs and the occasional hand. He is a bit bigger and darker in color than she, but they're pretty equally matched when it comes to the puppy wrestling matches. They carried on at a frenetic pace for over an hour, and then it was time to crash. We all slept really well that night!

This first romp was so much fun for all of us that we will plan more. Piper goes to Puppy School this Saturday, so we'll have a report after we see what that's like.
